adrienne is a delicate and complicated balance between cold and sociable, merciful and unforgiving, just and selfish, calculating and amiable. though she will hold conversation with many, there are few that she has given honest glimpse of truth to and rarer still loyalty and generosity. a mysterious being of many secrets, she only reveals what she wants to be known and keeps her true motives close to her heart. Just what on earth would those goals and motives be...?

soft-voiced and well-spoken, adrienne emits regality and poise befitting nobility of a different time. though her true age is unknown, her age is betrayed in the old ishgardian terms she uses, nodding to halycon days long gone by. sharp witted and sharper-tongued, she bests her opponents before blades are drawn. a habitual researcher and explorer, she would spend her free time delving into secrets left unexplored and loves nothing more than a good spot of tea complete with jam and shortbread cookies. though wealthy and wants for nothing, she has been known to be generous on occasion often citing and remaining loyal to a creed the modern nobility of ishgard has all but forgotten- noblesse oblige.

much of the woman's past is shrouded in mystery and she prefers it that way. secretive, she claims that she has nothing to hide but only reveals the truth to a favored, select few. of all the information she has shared with them, the matters of her birth or her home life, childhood, or upbringing were never discussed, let alone how and -why- she came to wield the powers that she does. the information listed below is strictly out of character information only and unless an rp hook is discussed prior, is not knowledge that any in-game character would know.born as adrienne cerise folquette ii and the heiress of house folquette and their empire of providing the star with fine wine of highest renown. tragically orphaned at birth, she was raised by the servant staff of her estate and namely her butler vespasien, who remains her stalwart guardian to this day. due to rumors of the murder of her childhood friend, cosette fleur amourette, and dabbling in the occult in attempts to bring her back, adrienne faked her own death and the demise of the folquette house to escape the ishgardian inquisition before the first verse of the dragonsong was sung. the former house's honor expunged, the pious nobility of ishgard rejoiced, but remained completely unaware of the evil that still lurked under their noses but out of their reach.after enough time for the wounds of the past to heal, adrienne re-emerged as 'adrienne morellenoir' and started her estate anew in dravania. striking a deal of peace with her draconic neighbors, she was and is safe from religious persecution of isghard and has returned functioning in 'normal' society. hearkening back to earlier days, she re-established foothold in the wine industry by opening and owning 'champs d'or' vineyardsthat are comparable in quality to that of her old house folquette's. in addition to wine, the steady supply of adventurers and looters in the dravanian hinterlands provides her with enough business to steadily run a mortuary.in the years since her birth and later her disgrace, she has hardly remained idle and even now continues her research at an inhuman pace. she is a savant in the dark arts, and yet her motives for studying such forbidden arts remains unknown and she desires it be kept that way.

Proud, confident, charming with a flair for the dramatic, this eager-to-please mask was perceived as assured, promising, and capable, awarding the wearer infiltration into the former society and access to knowledge later used in their downfall.Serving its purpose, mask of the betrayer is obsolete and no longer in use.

Secretive and seen flitting the shadows, very little is known about 'vi' or their true intentions. often appearing as both an antagonist and a voice of sage wisdom to adrienne, the decidedly not-female presenting mask seems to operate separately from adrienne. a rebel of a mask, 'vi' sticks to themselves, offering to both aid and hinder the efforts of her, and her allies. owner and establisher of Just Desserts café and arcane confectionary, though nobody knows what purpose they did so, or for whom the doors open.

while disposed in a recent visit to Hingashi, adrienne sensed the presence of a local auspice near the foothills of the rokkan mountain range. a spider auspice of autumn, it was caught in a moment of revelry and humored a bet made by a disguised adrienne. upon beating the spider auspice in her own games, adrienne assumed the mask and title of the auspice, kikuya no kushi, and is currently using the spider as a guise to hide from the unknown assailants who attacked her until it is safe for her to return to her normal form.Serving its purpose as sacrifice, mask of the stolen spider is no more.
